2018 Community Partner: BREWFONTAINE
The Logan County Farmer’s Market is excited to officially name Brewfontaine as our 2018 Community Partner.
The LCFM Community Partner commits to taking an active role in supporting and strengthening the local food system. A large financial donation aids the LCFM in expanding the educational and community programs offered. The CP also assists in opening new revenue channels for local food producers by featuring their products and hosting food events.
As the 2018 Community Partner, Brewfontaine plans to offer seasonal dishes featuring local ingredients and host food events in coordination with the Farmer’s Market including a ticketed farm-to-table meal. They will also have a booth at the Market one day this season with a cooking demonstration by Executive Chef Joseph Moore.
Brewfontaine also hopes to obtain more ingredients for their menu from local growers, and the Community Partnership will help them develop relationships with Farmer’s Market vendors.
Karla Kauffman, Market Manager, says, “We are excited and grateful to Brewfontaine for their generosity. We look forward to hosting events with them and providing them with many farmers’ market products for their restaurant. This will be a true partnership with local foods and locally owned businesses at the center.”
In 2017, CraftBeer.com voted Brewfontaine the #1 Beer Bar in Ohio. Boasting a large can and bottle selection and an ever-changing draft list of mead, cider, and craft beer, Brewfontaine puts a heavy focus on Ohio breweries. But it doesn’t just stop there. “Most of the community knows us for our drink selection, which is great, but food is actually half our business and we use as much local, quality, fresh ingredients as possible,” says Adam Rammel, Co-owner of Brewfontaine. “Our farmer’s market is incredibly important and serves as not only a way for people to purchase locally grown produce but also as a chance for them to connect with others. This is a growing national trend and it’s a great feeling to be able to put a face to the farmer who grew the product. We’re thrilled to be the Community Partner in 2018.”
Stay tuned for updates as we finalize details on our future collaborations!
