“This business started out of love, a love for family and a commitment to help, and make lives better.” — Kristin Quattlebaum
Kristin Quattlebaum and her family have been attending the Logan County Farmers Market for the 5 seasons now, which all began with the inspiration of helping her daughter, Unique alleviate her skin concerns. “My oldest child has skin issues and as a parent, we only want the best of our kids and help them in any way we can, so I started a mission to find the best products to moisturize your skin and minimize inflammation and it took off from there!”, explains Kristin.
Kristin values maintaining a high quality handmade product that’s best for your body. “I use all natural colorants in my soaps, I carefully select additives/powders and exfoliants high in vitamins and minerals along with raw butters, oils and lard to maximize the benefits for your skin. I make small batches to ensure quality over quantity.”
Not only does Kristin value the ingredients and products we put on our bodies, but the items we consume as well. As a small business that is a part of the market, she emphasizes the positive impact that LCFM has on our local food system. “To have local accessibility to such great food here in our local community is priceless. By utilizing the accessibility of our farmers market helps to ensure sustainability for all parties involved. It’s great to have that open line between our local consumers and farmers, I encourage all to shop local!”
Meet Kristin and her family this weekend at the Logan County Farmers Market from 8:30-12pm at the lot across from the Post Office in Downtown Bellefontaine to keep your skin nourished during this sunny summer.
