2019 Community Partner: Brewfontaine

The Logan County Farmers Market (LCFM) accepted a $5,000 check from Brewfontaine on February 26th, 2019, making them our official Community Partner for the second year in a row.
The Community Partner commits to taking an active role in supporting and strengthening the local food system. A large financial donation aids the farmers market in expanding the educational and community programs offered. The Community Partner also assists in opening new revenue channels for local food producers by featuring their products and hosting food events.
As the 2018 Community Partner, Brewfontaine hosted 100 guests for a farm-to-table fundraiser with the Logan County Farmers Market which raised over $3,000. The dinner featured hand-crafted and locally grown products from 12 area farmers and vendors. Brewfontaine also attended the market in June, where executive chef Joseph Moore put on a local produce pickling demonstration for market customers.
Brewfontaine will host the 2019 LCFM Farm-to-Table fundraising dinner on September 10th. Tickets will go on sale May 1st.
On June 22nd, July 13th, and August 17th, the Brewfontaine team will hold cooking demonstrations at the farmers market.
CraftBeer.com recently voted Brewfontaine the #1 Beer Bar in Ohio for the 3rd year in a row.
“Most of the community knows us for our drink selection, but food is actually half of our revenue. We use as much local, quality, fresh ingredients as possible,” said Adam Rammel, co-owner of Brewfontaine. “Our beer dinners, wine club, catering offerings, and other events centered around food have really gained a following and the partnership gives our culinary team an outlet to connect with area farmers who grow our amazing local produce, which is invaluable. We’re thrilled to be the Community Partner again in 2019.”
Hannah Wischmeyer, LCFM board member and fundraising committee chair said, “We are excited about the awareness being generated around local food production through this partnership and others. We are starting to see a ripple effect throughout the community in the way restaurants are communicating with local food vendors, in collaborations between non-profit groups and county leaders, and in the inspiring programs area schools are implementing. We are so grateful for the support we have received from the community, and look forward to another year of dynamic partnership with Brewfontaine.”
