As part of the Wholesome Wave National Nutrition Incentive Network, the Logan County Farmers Market is delighted to offer our new Double UP Produce program in 2016!
Sponsored by the Logan County Electric Co-Op’s Operation Roundup Fund, we are offering any resident with SNAP benefits (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – formerly Food Stamps) with a double-incentive to shop for FREE local fruits, veggies, and vegetable plants. How does it work? Easy! If you have a SNAP card, see the Market Manager, who will swipe your card. You pick the amount you’d like to spend on your card from your regular monthly benefits (which you can spend on any qualified food products at the Market) and we’ll give you $10 in tokens FREE to spend on any produce at the Market. We welcome SNAP users at our Market and believe this program not only supports our local economy but will bring more fresh delicious produce to families in our community! Eat fresh. Shop local. Double UP Produce!
